More to the point, he and my Mom really liked the wide-angle aspect. So did I, once I got my licence and occasionally wheeled around in that monstrous boat. It was marvelous to see "everything" going on behind and even, to some extent, beside you. Now I'm toying with getting one for my , especially since driving around for a month now with no external mirrors of any kind.

They do obstruct too much of the view outa the windshield and usually you will have no way of using the sun visors as well. That being said, I run one in my green machine and there's so much going on with my car it's the least of my worries! I'm still able to use the sun visors cuz I've removed the centre peg holder and the pegs as well.

They just slide up between the headliner and the mirror itself. Drilling holes into the headliner might be a concern for you too. The person with the sun in their eyes has the right of way.
